For routes, distances, and more information, visit the cafe and pick up a brochure. We've spent a lot of time exploring these mountains, and would love to share them with you and point you in the right direction. We are passionate about spending time in nature exploring the beautiful areas around our home, and hope that you also will fall in love with our alpine meadows, staggering peaks, and jaw dropping views from the summits of our surrounding mountains.

The difficulty level of these hikes varies from easy to moderate. The shortest hike is about 1.5 hours round trip, while the longest ones can be up to 5-7 hours, depending on your route and how much time you take at the top speechless from the view. We recommend starting with Cornish Mountain or Mount Agnus first, and progressing from there. However, the joy of the Recreational Division of the Seven Summits Challenge is that you can do it at your pace and on your schedule!

The wilderness is beautiful and easy accessible from Wells, but please do come prepared for the possibility of encountering wildlife, changing weather conditions, and the lack of cell phone coverage. Be sure to visit The Frog on the Bog gift store next door to stock up on bear spray, bear bells, extra water, and even a cute plaid pullover for those windy mountain tops!
